I was born on the 28th November 1979 in the lovely city of Nairobi. I was raised listening to a lot of local music as well as some funk, some soul, some Motown, Lionel Richie and the commodores, stevie wonder, lots of country music. But it was at high school that i discovered a real liking for all things musical, started by playing the recorder and after while picked up the sax, so as to get the girls and it worked, got a lovely Nigerian girlfriend.
Since then, back in 1998-1999, I didn't have my own sax, so I had to borrow. Did that for about three to four years when my dad fionally got me one of my own.
Since then, I have performed with Manay bands, met some of the best musicians the country has to offer, have played from the rich and wealthy on their private yacht, played for several artistes on their albums, till i finally decided to do one of my own.
My style is primarily jazz and blues and R&B influenced but I 'm able to adopt to any style and thus I'm intrigued by fusion of different genres like jazz and rock music.
New things are in the works...look out for video for freedom, I am also looking at recording the second album this year... so keep your ears to the ground... All i need is for one station to have the guts to play freedom
