There are two types of accounts. Artists accounts are for musicians where as Listener accounts are for site visitors.

ARTISTS

1. Create an artist account here. Make sure you read and accept the Licence agreement and the Artist Terms.

2. We will need to validate your account so make sure you check your email for an email from us. You cannot do anything else without validating.

3. Using your username and password, login to your account.

4. Click on the Control Panel at the top right hand corner. This is where you will control your account, upload music etc.

5. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP - Click on Artists then Modify Artists and upload your image, bio and select your genre. Check to see if you want to change your unique url (website) in the form www.kenyandownloads.com/artistname. Also fill in your payout email address which we will use to contact you when paying your dues. Save the changes on the button below.

6. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP - Now you are ready for the sweet part which is uploading your music. Click on Songs then Create Songs and fill in all the song details. If you leave the Price field blank, it will be automatically offered as a free download so if you want to sell your music, make sure you put in the price. Click Add New Song to complete. Remember all songs should be sold for $0.99 and all albums with 10 songs or more must be sold at $9.99 unless authorized by the administrator. Read the Artists terms on the registration page for more details. Failure to comply with terms might lead to termination of your account.

When uploading the second song, make sure you select the Existing Album you created, otherwise if the song is from a different album, then type in a new album title. If the song is a single or no album name has been decided, then use "Single" as your album name. You can then modify the title later when you complete your album. Also, remember to Launch Image Browser to select the song / album image if it is the same as a previous uploaded image.

7. To sell the whole album as a block, Click the tab Sell Album then Create Album. Fill in all the fields and compress your entire album as a .zip file and upload.

8. You have other options such as writing a blog as well as creating an event. These will be displayed on your unique url.

9. Now, that you have uploaded your picture, filled in your bio, uploaded your singles and album and written a few blogs, you can now paste your unique url address (www.kenyandownloads.com/artistname) to your Facebook account and invite your friends and fans to buy your music.

It is as simple as that.

MONITORING YOUR SALES

You will have detailed statistics of your sales and downloads. In fact, you see a table showing each of your songs and the number of sales and downloads everyday. To access this, go to your Control Panel then Profile then Statistics
You will then have three tabs for "Site Stats", "Song Stats" and "Sales Stats". Click on either tab to see detailed statistics.

LISTENERS

We highly recommend that site visitors set up a listener account though you don't have to have one to buy and download music. Like artists, you also get a control panel and can do a couple of cool stuff. Check it out! You also get a section called "My Files" where all the download links that you purchase will be stored incase you want to download again. The links are active for 72 hours after purchase and thereafter, they will just be records of your previous purchases. Another cool thing is that when you purchase downloads without registering for an account, we automatically create one for you so that you can retrieve the download links and also archive your personal download links.
